Sales – Account Executive
Workplace Resource, a full-service office furniture dealership located in Worcester, MA is currently seeking an outstanding Sales Executive to join its team.
Responsibilities:
•Market and promote all of Workplace Resource Ltd's (WPR) products and services
•Create and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospective clients and lead sources
The goal of such relationships is to enhance overall customer satisfaction and increase sales to both
new and existing customers
•Manage the development of design concepts with input and direction from the client
•Work with in-house and outside designers and architects to achieve the clients goals for their facilities
•Maintain knowledge of current products, services, issues and design concepts,
trends and applications relating to WPR's products and services and contract furniture industry
•Participate in personal and professional development through continuing education and appropriate
business and professional organizations
•Work to develop, maintain and nurture a professional network within the community which is
based on mutual respect and benefit. Communicate regularly, to management the size, condition
and activity level of this network
•Coordinate appropriate resources to establish, maintain and enhance our position within
assigned accounts
•Respond quickly and professionally to client's needs while adhering to established procedures
for conducting business within WPR
•Develop a Annual Business Plan based on anticipated business for all assigned accounts
•Initiate and maintain Account Profile for all key accounts
•Schedule Strategic sales meetings [Bluesheet] to review and map out specific accounts
to ensure long term success
•Submit, on a monthly basis, 90 day forecasts, specific opportunities,
A&D and identified project activity on all accounts assigned
•On a regular basis, meet with management to review the status of each account
•Meet weekly with Account Coordinator to review detailed status reports on all
account activity including all open orders, proposals and projects
•Keep management informed of any problems or unresolved issues, changes in personnel,
project standards, or competitive initiatives within accounts
•Attend all biweekly sales and team meetings
•Participate in all relevant training opportunities, as directed by management
•Submit all requested information in the time designated
Experience Required:
•College Degree, concentration in Marketing or Management
•Preferable experience in selling contract furniture and/or related services
•Knowledgeable with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to learn new software programs quickly
•Willingness to achieve higher than expected results in a sales environment
•Must be skilled in managing all aspects of business utilizing effective time management techniques
•Ability to work in a team oriented atmosphere to ensure efficiency of projects from start to finish
•Ability to read and understand floor plans and other related technical drawings
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Strong listening skills both in person and via telephone
•Must possess good understanding and application of business math
•Must be able to deal with highly complex sales issues
•Must be persistent, responsive, flexible, fun, intelligent, competitive, proactive, confident
and detail oriented
